Bringing Liandra’s story to life for her debut solo show at Australian Fashion Week was all about immersion. Inspired by her family’s totem—the honeybee—I designed a show that felt like stepping into a buzzing hive. The ombre custom dyed fabric set evokes the Australian landscape in an abstract way, sunsets and the colours of the desert, while the energy on the runway buzzed with the spirit of connection and freedom. My mission was to deliver a big visual impact that brought the Liandra girl to life and a feeling that let the audience uplifted.
